Get found on Google, and cited by AI

Search is changing. We help you rank on Google and show up inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, so you stay visible as buyers shift how they search.

The problem

Your customers are increasingly asking AI instead of scrolling search results. When someone asks ChatGPT or Google's AI for 'the best option near me', the businesses that get named win the work, and most businesses have done nothing to be one of them.

Traditional SEO still matters, but on its own it is no longer enough. Ranking well and being quoted well are different problems with different solutions. A page can sit at position three and still never be named in the answer above it, because the answer is assembled from sources the model can parse, trust and attribute, and most pages are not written to be any of those things.

The second problem is narrower odds. A search results page has room for ten listings and a map pack. An AI answer usually names two or three businesses and stops. Being on page one used to mean being in consideration. Now it means being in the pool from which a much shorter list gets drawn.

The third problem is that most businesses cannot see any of this happening. Search Console will tell you your clicks are down. It will not tell you that a competitor is being named in the answer that replaced them. Without a way to check what the AI engines actually say about you, the first sign of trouble is revenue.

How we do it

The AI-driven approach

01

Technical and structural foundations

Crawlability, indexation, page speed and clean site structure, because none of the rest works if search engines and AI crawlers cannot reliably fetch and parse your pages. This is also where structured data goes in, which is how a machine tells what your page is about rather than guessing from the prose.

02

Demand and question research

We map what your buyers actually search and, separately, what they actually ask. These are not the same list. Search queries are short and keyword-shaped. AI prompts are long, conversational and full of qualifiers about budget, location and circumstance. Content built only for the first misses the second entirely.

03

AEO: answer optimisation

We structure content so a specific question gets a specific, self-contained answer near the top, in language a model can lift without needing the rest of the page for context. That means clear headings that match real questions, direct answers rather than throat-clearing, and facts stated plainly enough to be quoted.

04

GEO: generative engine optimisation

AI engines cite sources they can identify and corroborate. So we make your business a clean entity: consistent name, address and details everywhere they appear, explicit schema describing who you are and what you do, and enough corroborating mentions elsewhere that a model has more than one reason to believe you exist and are competent.

05

Local visibility

For anyone serving a defined area, the Google Business Profile, local citations and location pages do disproportionate work. They feed the map pack, and they feed the local AI answers that increasingly sit above it. Reviews matter here twice over, once as a ranking signal and once as the text an AI summarises when asked what you are like to deal with.

06

Compounding content, then measurement

A steady programme of content that answers real buyer questions, published consistently rather than in bursts, because both search and AI reward sites that keep demonstrating expertise. We then track the things that actually indicate progress: rankings, organic enquiries, indexation coverage, and direct checks on whether the AI engines name you for the prompts that matter.

Who it's for

Businesses that want sustainable, compounding lead flow from search, and want to stay visible as AI search takes over. It suits you best if you sell something people actively look for, you can commit to at least six months, and you would rather build an asset you keep than rent attention month to month. It suits you poorly if you need enquiries within three weeks, in which case paid advertising is the honest answer and we will tell you so.

Questions

SEO · AEO · GEO FAQs

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?
SEO gets you ranking in traditional search results. AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) structures your content so it becomes the answer to a specific question, in a form a machine can lift cleanly. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) builds the trust and identity signals that make AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity cite your business by name. They overlap but they are not the same job, and doing only the first increasingly leaves results on the table. We do all three together because the work compounds.
How long does SEO take to work?
Most businesses see meaningful movement in three to six months, with the strongest results after six to twelve. The order is usually technical fixes first, which can move things within weeks, then content and authority, which take longer and last longer. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either targeting terms nobody searches or is about to do something you will have to undo later.
Can you really influence what AI tools say about my business?
You cannot control the output, but you can strongly influence the inputs. AI engines assemble answers from sources they can find, parse, identify and corroborate. Making your content easy to quote, your business details consistent everywhere they appear, and your expertise evidenced in more than one place measurably increases how often you get named. It is influence rather than control, and any agency claiming otherwise is overselling.
How do you measure whether AI is mentioning us?
We test directly. We build a list of the prompts a real buyer would use, run them against ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews on a schedule, and record whether you are named, how you are described, and who is named instead of you. That last part is usually the most useful, because it tells you exactly which competitor a model currently trusts more and what they are doing to earn it.
Do you handle local search and Google Business Profile?
Yes. For businesses serving a local area, we optimise your Google Business Profile, local citations and location pages so you show up in the map pack and in local AI answers. For most local businesses the profile is the single highest-return asset available and it is usually half-filled. Reviews are part of this work rather than an afterthought, because they feed both the ranking and the description an AI gives of you.
Is there a lock-in contract?
Yes, and we would rather be straight about it. SEO engagements run on a six or twelve month term. The reason is that the work compounds and a three month sample tells you very little, so a short commitment tends to produce the frustrating outcome where you pay for the setup phase and leave before the returns arrive. If a six month commitment is not right for you, paid advertising is a better fit and we will say so rather than sell you the wrong thing.
How much content do we need to publish?
Less than most agencies imply, and more consistently than most businesses manage. Consistency beats volume: a smaller number of genuinely useful pages that answer questions buyers actually ask will outperform a large amount of thin content, and thin content now carries real risk rather than just being ineffective. We would rather publish fewer, deeper pages and keep them current.
We already have an SEO agency. What would you do differently?
The most common gap we find is that the existing work is entirely aimed at ranking and none of it is aimed at being cited. The technical basics are handled, the content is competent, and the business is invisible inside AI answers because nothing has been structured for that. The other frequent gap is measurement: reports that show rankings and traffic but never check what the AI engines say. We are happy to audit what you have and tell you if it is already fine.
