AI marketing for Canadian businesses
Ideas tuned for how Canadians search, buy and decide. Automation, ads, websites and AI search, minus the jargon.

Six topics, each with a Canadian starting point
SEO, AEO and GEO
Canadian search is two language markets across ten provinces, so ranking and AI citations in English do little for French queries.
AI lead generation
Most Canadian enquiries go to whoever replies first, and CASL governs every automated message, whether the reply goes out in French or English.
Marketing automation
Canada's anti-spam law, CASL, sets the rules: get consent first, identify yourself and include an unsubscribe in every automated message.
Digital advertising
Canadian ad costs sit close to American levels because US advertisers bid in the same auctions, so target by province, not nationally.
AI marketing
AI marketing lets a Canadian small business serve both language markets without bilingual staff and keep marketing through a genuine off-season.
What marketing costs
Provincial sales tax varies by up to ten percentage points, and US advertisers in your auctions push media costs toward American levels.

What is different about marketing in Canada
CASL consent rules
CASL covers every commercial email and text, and the burden of proving consent sits with the sender. Implied consent lasts two years after a purchase but only six months after an enquiry, with penalties up to C$10 million per violation for a business. Read CASL compliance in 2026.
Quebec, French and Law 25
Quebec is a separate French-language market, and Law 25 governs how the personal information behind your forms and automation is collected, stored and used. It applies to businesses operating in Quebec whatever their size, with penalties up to C$25 million or 4 percent of worldwide turnover. See AI lead generation in Canada.
US bidders in Canadian auctions
US advertisers bid in the same Google auctions as Canadian businesses, often with bigger budgets, so clicks run from C$1 to C$60+ depending on category. The French-language auction is thinner, which frequently makes Quebec clicks cheaper than English ones. See Google Ads cost in Canada.
